Hello all,
Up for consideration today is my Sam Lurquin Hurak that I scored during the recent Hurak Project put together by JP. Just don't see myself putting this to the good use it deserves, figured I should let it go to recoup some fund for an incoming piece.
For those that don't know, the knife is W2 steel with a vivid hamon and Micarta handle. Only 12 were made during this run. These very rarely go up for resale. Direct ordering from Sam will likely take a good while.
The knife itself is in exactly the same condition as when it left Sam's workshop. I took it out of the sheath just about half a dozen times to admire the hamon and oil the blade. Cut only 2-3 pieces of paper with it to test the sharpness. The knife could be made sharper, matter of fact my plan was to send it to Murray Carter for some good sharpening but never got around to making the arrangement.
The sheath is left handed and made by Jeremy Guillaume of 8 Ball Leather. Good solid sheath. I tried fitting the belt strap to my belt once, hence some creases around the belt strap studs.
$SOLD shipped and insured. I'll eat the shipping and Paypal fee. I'll the the photos do the rest of the talking. Thanks for looking. Feel free to hit me up if more photos are needed.
