I try to make these as stag becomes available, this knife require large slabs which can be very costly to find.

A new look to my classic drop point hunter with Sambar Stag, a 4" blade 8 1/2" overall. Nice fit to the hand and a real looker. Brass guard and if you look real close a copper spacer. Stag is natural color and treated with Teak Oil.

A2 blade flat ground with heat treat by Paul Bos to about Rc 60-61 and tempered at 400 F. A2 is a high carbon (1.00 %) tool steel with a small amount of chrome (5.2%) for corrosion resistance. This gives you a great edge with little care.

The blade is flat ground and and hand finished with a fine scotch brite. The edge is ground to about 0.015 and convex with a cutting angle of about 12 degrees to make it a real slicer.

These knives are real cutters .. I have updated the cutting video:

Nicest looking knife in this forum. Made in the way Warenski, Sigman, Randall and many other made knives. Very classy.

Brass and stag were meant to go together.

Thanks, I really like making these drop points. I am lowering the price, last knife in the shop and needs to make room for the next bunch.
