Sambar Stag & Pippy or English Oak Scales

First of all the oak scales were cut out of the stool for the piano that the Brazilian Rosewood I posted came from.It is hard as a rock and has beautiful different grain patterns.I consulted a friend of mine who is a fine furniture builder and he said it is either Pippy or English oak.I"ve never heard of either one but it sure makes beautiful scales.

#1 through #8 are 5 3/8 in length and 1/2 thick.
#9 is 5 3/8 in length and 3/8 thick

Sambar Stag all are nice and solid.Very nice scales for folders.
