Sambar Stag

SAy I was wondering, with all the use of Sambar Stag antler in this country on custom knives why havnt the kamis been using it ? From what I understand it comes from India, they wouldnt have far to go to get it.

Like Ivory, genuine Sambar Stag is banned for export. There were large stocks in the U.S. prior to the bans, and the genuine stuff is mostly from these, and similar stockpiles that are still available to draw from, out-country. The Indian ban has been relaxed a couple of times, with bad results, and may remain for some time.
