Samburu spear questions

Hi all,

Long time Cold Steel user here. I'm building an atlatl and while doing some research came back to the Samburu spear. Wonder what you can tell me about. It's Cold Steel so I know it's sturdy. Does it have any flex when it's in flight? How is the balance? What sort of range does one of these things have?

[Cold Steel Knives]

The Samburu is designed to flex. It's very lightweight with a steel shoe, steel head and a wooden central pole.
It can be thrown a few different ways and the shoe is sharp enough to practice with, keeping your hunting head nice and sharp.
Range is really down to the person throwing it. Some of our guys throw them up to about 35ft in the Cold Steel Challenge, but I'm sure other people can throw them even further
