Sometimes, we can get a little too wound up in the "Great New Blade Smith du Jour" discussions, and forget what a first tier Master Smith is truely capable of creating. This knife is way out of my league as a collector, but I do enjoy looking at greatness.

There may be a few Master Smiths that are as good as Harvey Dean, but I don't think that there are any better ones.

I'm totally and utterly flabbergasted. I can't imagine what it takes talentwise to create such a beauty.

That is remarkable! The high quality and master craftsmanship of this piece just pours out of every facet of this knife.

Peter,
Thanks for posting!
That is the most amazing, most incredible knife I've ever seen.

Just staggering. Every single area you look at has an intensity that is jaw-dropping. That handle is so well carved it looks like a mold. Hardly.

A bowie of this magnitude deserved photos at this superb quality. I am humbled by the entire post. Thanks Peter!!!!

Just the title of this thread got me excited about opening it.

Thank you!

Where do those pics come from?

Superb piece. The Sam Bell bowie are often pretty small - anyone knows the length of this piece?

When I think bowie, one name comes to mind first and this is a fine example of what Harvey is capable of. Beautiful bowie, thanks Peter

I got to talk to Steve and Harvey for quite awhile at the Reno show about this knife. It is even more amazing than I had imagined while listening to Steve describe it.

Absolutely unbelievable... this is as good as it gets!!!
