San Mai/416SS/W2/Dyed Maple***SOLD***

OAL: 8 1/2 inches.
Blade: 4 1/4 inches from tip to handle. Hand sanded to 1200 grit. The steel is 416SS forged to W2 carbon steel. W2 is the cutting edge. I forge my own steel. There is a small blank spot on the spine that would not take the etch real good.
Thickness: .180 at the ricasso.
Handle: Stabilized Maple with 416SS pins.
Price: SOLD. A hand sewn, vegetable tanned sheath made of 8-9 oz. leather is included. I make my own sheaths.

Dang man, that thing is gorgeous. So it's not a damascus, the carbon makes the edge and the stainless the spine?

Yes, it is W2 carbon in the center and stainless on each side. When you look at the spine you can see that the center is dark after being etched.
