Here is another PFB...maybe that is what I should be calling them so I don't have to type pocket fixed blade all the time.

The steel is my san mai. The core steel is Aldo's 1084 and the sandwich layers are high nickel low carbon steel. It has been hand polished to 1000 grit and then etched to show the layers.

The handle is bias cut micarta. It tends to look like wood grain. I had a lot of people at the last knife show look surprised when I told them it was micarta. It is held securely with peened pins and acraglas. It also has a mosaic. It is sculpted to fit the hand well.

The sheath is my pocket fixed blade style. It is made to be clipped in the right hand pocket. It allows the knife to be drawn and ready in a blink, and it fits so nicely that you forget you have it. It is how I carry my own fixed blade.

Dimensions
Blade - 3 1/8" tip to handle
OAL - 7 1/8"

Price - $235 shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Very sweet, is the hardness of the outside layer softer than the core/cutting edge or are they the same?

The outside layers dont really harden much, the core steel is hardened, but not the sandwich layers.

Ok thanks Matt I was curious, keep pumping out the blades, be ready at the end of June for my custom order!

And I will take this one to match my slightly larger hunter with the same micarta handle. PM sent. :)
