This one was an order that was unable to go to it's new home because of a bit of a financial issue with the customer. No big deal, he gave me the freedom to sell it here.
This one is my san mai. It has Aldo's 1084 for the core steel, and some low carbon, high nickel steel for the outside layers. The spine is fileworked with a basic rope pattern.
The handle...well it gave me fits. None of my tools would hollow out the tang hole like they do with every other material. I had to buy some carbide extended shank burs in order to clean it out enough to fit the tang in it. I will not be making another carbon fiber knife in the near future! The guard is nickel silver and the spacers are layered G10
Sheath - The sheath is 8-9 oz hand stitched and tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife is held snugly and the keeper strap will open up wit a snap and allow the knife to draw easily.
Dimensions -
Blade - 8" tip to guard
OAL - 13 3/4"
Price - $415 shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
