Here is another hidden tang. I have been making them more and more. I still hate fitting up the bolster areas, but I am getting better at it. It still takes me longer than it does for me to make a full tang, but I am getting a bit faster, and hopefully better.

Moving on... The blade is my san mai. The core steel is Aldo's 1084 and the outer layers are low carbon, high nickel steel for very nice contrast.
There is a bit of filework on the spine.

The handle is cocobolo and the bolster is black linen micarta. One thing I really do like about hidden tangs is the ability to make the handle in whatever shape you desire...plus it is lighter. This particular handle fits very nicely in the hand.

The sheath...well it is hand tooled and stitched leather from Wickett and Craig. I could tell you more, but I did an extensive work in process thread on it that you can see here if you so desire http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/905582-Sheath-WIP

Dimensions
Blade - 6" tip to bolster
OAL - 11 1/2"

Price - $345 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it

$345? Are you kidding me??? If I wasn't a hobbyist knifemaker, I'd snag this one in a heartbeat!

Outstanding work all along - I hope you don't mind if I save your pictures in my "inspiration" folder?

I'll take it!

E: I just need the paypal email addr and I will get the money sent off.

Money sent. I'm really excited Matt. I've been trying to get one of your knives for a long time now. They always sell so quickly.
