Here is some of my San Mai, the core steel is 1084 from Aldo. I wanted the look of a hamon without differentially hardening the blade. This san mai achieves that looks. I have left the forge finish on the flats and hand sanded and etched the blade bevels.

The handle is Cocobolo. The guard is brass (I know...brass, but I really like it and it polished up nicely) There are also g10 and micarta spacers. This handle design really allows you to maintain a good grip, and still feels comfortable.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled and hand stitched leather from Wickett and Craig. It holds the knife securely and allows it to draw easily. I also went with a color match between the knife and the sheath.

Dimensions
Blade - 5 1/2" tip to guard.
OAL - just a tick under 11"

Price - $310 SPF shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Oops forgot to consolidate.

Here is my next one. Again it is san mai. This one is ground in more of a harpoon fashion. The flats are also left with the forge finish, and the blade has a slight recurve to it.

The handle is black canvas micarta with a brass guard. this one also fits very nicely in the hand.

The sheath is the hand tooled and stitched Wickett and Craig leather.

Dimensions
Blade - 6 1/2" tip to guard
OAL - 11 1/2"

Price $290 shipped to US, I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

Same rules apply, first to post here gets it.

These are beautiful. San Mai or hamon...I just don't know which I like better!

I am somewhat unfamiliar with custom knives and knifemakers, but do you do your own heat treat?

Thanks!

Gunsnknives, yes, I do my own heat treat. Aldo's 1084 is pretty easy to do.
Thanks
