This is San mai made from 1084 with a 5160 core. I did this to get the look of a hamon with a fully hardened blade.

The spine has been fileworked with my random vine filework.

The handle is cocobolo with black G10 bolsters. It is secured with several normal pins and one mosaic.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled and stitched leather. The tooling is a scroll/leaf pattern (that took me forever!)

Dimensions
Blade - 5" Tip to handle
OAL - 9 1/2"

Price $285 shipped to US. I prefer paypal to matt(at)baileyknives.com, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it

Wow, I had to go back and look again several times.

I love that layered steel look.

Surprised it lasted that long. Matt does great work on both blade and sheath. A true craftsman IMO. Great snag Talon-Kudos

Thanks ordawg1. Have been buying from Matt since 06, he has really improved a lot in his work, especially his sheaths. Its been a real pleasure to see Matts work evolve over the past 4 years.
