Here is some san mai I made a while ago. The core steel is Aldo's 1084, and the sandwich layers are a low carbon high nickel steel. The flats are left with the forge scale, however the bevels are polished to 1000 grit and etched.

The handle is snakewood I have had laying around for quite some time. It is shaped and sculpted to fit the hand. It is held in place with pins and acraglas.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife fits snugly and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - Just a tick over 3 1/2" tip to handle
OAL - Just over 7 1/2"

Price - $255 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Love that Snakewood! Seems to be getting harder to find decent Snakewood, but that looks like the perfect piece to compliment that knife!

Might I ask what the low carbon nickel steel is that you used on the outside? It looks great, I'm just curious

Exceptional example of knifemaking.
