The blade of this one is my san mai. The outer layers are a low carbon high nickel steel, and the cutting edge is Aldo's 1084.

The handle is stabilized maple burl. I had someone give me a few scales and supplies quite a while ago, and in the box was a hunk of maple labeled "Weird Maple" When I sent some other wood to get stabilized, I put this one in with it. When I started sanding on it, I was glad I did because it is amazing. The entire handle looks 3D but everything is solid, no voids or checks. The guard is black linen micarta with a stainless steel faceplate.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and tooled leather from Wickett and Craig.

Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/4" tip to guard
OAL - 9 1/16"

Price - $285 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
