I had a few orders back out. This one is some of my San Mai. The core is some of Aldo's 1084 and the sandwich layers are high nickel and low carbon steel.

The handle is hemp wrapped leather. I soaked it in epoxy called Raka epoxy. I used it to build a canoe and it is good stuff, similar to West system. I drag my canoe over rocks with no ill effects, so I know the epoxy is durable. Plus it is waterproof. The handle provides good grip and is quite comfortable. The turk's head knot is leather cord.

The sheath is hand tooled 8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife fits well and draws nicely. It is one I used my new sewing machine on! (can you tell I am still excited about it?)

Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/2" tip to knot
OAL - 9 1/8"

Price - $275 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it

This is a shot of the butt end. This was the end of the bar I forged, and it shows where the layers squished apart a bit before they welded up. I left it this way because it looked cool

I absolutely love san mai and I really like how the clip showed the layers off too. Slick man.
