Hey Sqoon....

Thanks for your purchase.....This is it ....when this first run is gone they are GONE.....

The edge is RAZOR sharp and the Hitachi Blue Steel is a very aggressive cutter....Me thinks you will be happy......

Let us know how you feel after you get a chance to play.........There is ONE set of tweener MK 1 Protos which had to be pried out of my hands now at Ka-Bar.....

PLEASE DO NOT snatch them as I will be the first person they will suspect........

Thanks again !!!...

All Best....

No joke, Mr. Becker posts his comment, and within 30 seconds, literally, the postman drops the box off at my door. I think my Remora will be doing the opening honors...

I think Alex from A Clockwork Orange said is best when he said "Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now."

This knife is amazing. Super, uber, duper sharp. I think I really lucked out on this one. The point here the blue and 410 steel meet is simple a thing of beauty.

I did just get the scales on it. Didn't take long, but kind of a pain. I still don't know if I'm going to keep them on it, but to chord wrap this girl just seems like it would be so beneath her.

There is one point on the edge where there is some imperfection. My eyes are getting pretty back, but I can't tell if there is a knick in the edge, or not. It is only visible on one side, so it might just be a deep scratch. You can see some grind marks where whoever was sharpening it by had tried to maybe fix this. The knick is slightly perceivable when slicing paper.

I'll get pics up soon. Promise. This baby needs to show off.

And, yes. I think I will need to have two of these.

Hello Mr. Becker, sqoon,

Just curious, you both mentioned "Blue steel", is it White steel BK11CSM ? or there is a different version?

The scales need very minor trimming. i use the necker a lot but have not used the san mai much.

Damn, I need to get scales for the smaller knives, the Micarta on the 11CSM look hot.

Does the stock sheath rattle and dull the blade on bk11csm like it does with bk11 (1095cv)? Looks a bit shorter too from the picture too, is this true?
Also (my second edit now, sorry), how is edge retention/chipping?

(I hope I used quote properly this time...)

The blades are the exact same lenghty, and the knife does rattle in the sheath a bit just like the other one and it seems to make the blade dull just like the 1095cv.

This is my only gripe with my BK11. That sheath is a menace. I did a quick test and cut into the outside edge of my sheath after putting a nice new edge on the knife and cutting into a chunk of maple a half-dozen times to verify no wire edge or burr. With a fair amount of pressure the edge threw back light where it had cut into the sheath. I used a flat section of sheath to strop the edge back into shape and it almost restored it. Conclusion - my sheath is extremely abrasive. My BK11 is now in the bottom of my gear bag awaiting some kydex. Pretty sure once I get this squared away it'll be my go-to EDC knife - love everything else about it.

I just tried the "stropping on edge of stock sheath" thing on my BK14, got the edge back to hair popping from barely shaving. Wow, I didn't expect the sheath to be THAT abrasive. That's pretty bad.
