Here is some of my san mai. It has a 1084 core with high nickel, low carbon cladding layers. It has been forged into this nice little hunter. The blade has been polished to 800 grit and etched to show the layers.
The handle is bone. It polishes up nicely and feels great in the hand. It is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. It was hand tooled and holds the knife securely.
