I've been getting requests for these, so I just might start an official list for them :)

Third Knife Project. Dedicated to do-it-yourself and pimp-my-knife guys!
Date this project went public: 06/16/08

THERE ARE NO LIMITS ON THE SIGN-IN FOR THIS ONE - If you want one, just contact me and I'll add you to my working list!

Full flat tang Nessmuk Bare Blades with an 8" overall lenght in my usual san mai damascus.

They will all share the same steel profile, but since they will be 100% custom made, just as I make all my knives, the damascus patterns will be unique to each blade.

They are $150 shipped to your door. (Registered Airmail) - PayPal gladly accepted.

Estimated delivery time for the first ones would be November 2008.

Go ahead and put me on that list. I've been thinking about getting a Nessie for some time, and this looks like about as fantastic a Nessie as you can get in this world.

Is payment due when the knives are ready or do you want payment now?
Good question, as I tend to forget to clarify this sometimes :)

Payment is due once the blade is made, I've sent you pictures of it and is ready to ship, not sooner.

I don't require any kind of downpayment or deposit before hand, I never ask for those

Regards,

Ariel

Is the second run of Nessmuck's still to be delivered Feb- Dec. 09 then or have they been pushed sooner. Just wanting to clarify that the third project is being shipped a year before run#2.

Kristian,

Same Feb-Dec 2009 for the second run of Nessmuks, yep!

Those are full knives with sheaths, these are just the bare blades, and November 08 is the start date to deliver the first ones, the rest will come along in 2009 too. Both project will co-exist actually.

I have separated squeduled times for the original Nessmuk projects, pending orders, new knives and new experimental projects. Time for this one will come from new knives and experimental project, it won't affect the squeduled delivery of the 2nd run :)

The date of November 2008 to start delivering some of these blades respond to the fact that I try not to forge on December as it's just too hot I get dizzy and I usually go on vacations in January, so other than the first blades from this Bare Blades proyect that will come from the 1st batch of Nessmuks (and other orders I have for this type of stripped blades before I started with this) the rest will come from the 2nd run batches.

I'm just able to ship the over sooner as I don't have to put handles or sheath them :) I can forge and grind blades much faster than really finishing full knives with handles and sheaths, so this won't slow down the 2nd run at all!

Great looking blanks!

Will pins come with these?
If so, what kind and size?

Thanks! :D

Thanks for the reply Ariel. I'll just stay on the list for the second run- I really want to see your stag and the micarta you make in hand. Plus I can get more funds around for it then!

I can include a couple of stainless pins in 5/32" (diameter of the holes) for anyone that wants them, that'd wouldn't be a problem at all :)

I haven't got any complains so far :D I'm 100% sure you're gonna love it.
