This is my san mai with a 1084 core from Aldo and high nickel, low carbon sandwich layers. It has been polished and etched to show the layers. The knife is razor sharp and ready to go.
The handle is some desert ironwood from Arizona Ironwoods. It is shaped and sculpted to fit the hand well. it is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife slips in nicely and is held securely.
