this'en is made outta wrought iron w/ a 15n20 and 1095 core. Approx. 4'' long and about 1/8'' thick, fits comfortably in hand. blade has been flat ground, edge hardened and double tempered to 400deg.

That's a very nice looking one... unfortunately I'm just short of making the cut, waiting for payday.
 
it's not wrought iron edge, i took a piece of wrought iron and folded it over a piece of 15n20 and 1095 damascus, and forge welded together. when i ground the knife you grind through the wrought and expose the carbon steel edge. therfore it does and will hold a pretty nice edge.

if you look at the spine or any where on the edge of knife you can see the sides are iron, and the center has a damascus pattern.
 
to answer a few questions, as far a rusting, the piece has been coated in Renaissance wax, and like any other carbon steel blade will blacken, and develop surface rust if not cared for.
