Here is some of my san mai forged into a pocket fixed blade design. The core steel is Aldo's 1084 and the sandwich layers are high nickel low carbon steel layers.
The handle is black and maroon G-10. It is held in place with black micarta pins and one stainless tube. It is chamfered and shaped to fit the hand well.
The sheath is made to slip into the pocket like a cell phone. The knife holds snugly and draws well.

Blade - 2 3/4" tip to handle
OAL - 5 3/4"
