This is some of my san mai. It has Aldo's 1084 for the core steel and high nickel low carbon sandwich layers. It has been hand polished to 800 grit and then etched to bring out the details. It is a razor.
The handle is WIAC (wood in a can). I saw a makers review of Jephco's warwood, which is like micarta, but made with natural materials. On the site they also had WIAC. I thought I would give some a try. It is supposed to look like a burl, which it does. I kinda like it, it was easy to work and has some nice details in it. Anyways, it has been sculpted and shaped to fit the hand and is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. It has been hand tooled and designed for this particular knife.
Dimensions
Blade - 3 3/8" tip to handle
OAL - 7 1/8"
Price - $225 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
