A very grainy wrought iron forge welded over 1095 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind
Professionally stabilized spalted maple handle (There is some curl in it too if you really look close)
Overall length: 9 1/2 inches
Blade: 5 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

Looking at top pic again this morning, I can visualize a seascape, as if standing on shore or a boat gazing outwardly, the dark waters below, overcast horizon, and storm clouds rolling in from the right.
 
A wonderful image described in the prior post. Who knew knife guys are poets? The knife is beautiful and no doubt a worker.
