San Mai source?

For stuff in the future, I'd like to try my hand at some san mai knives, but I won't have the ability to do so in a long long long looong time.

So I'm curious if there's a place I can get some as barstock or something like that? Possibly some stainless-carbon-stainless?

Awesome, thanks a ton Stacy!

EDIT: I notice that for most of them (with 3mm thicknesses) they only go up to 30 or 40mm widths. The only one at 50mm is 2.2mm thick, which is much too thin for what I'm looking at. Would you happen to know if there's a source for something around 250mm x 50mm x 3mm? I probably should have stated this earlier.

Not that I know of.

Get hold of Delber Ealy if you want some custom stailess san-mai. Some other folks do it,too.

What Brian said^^^ Mike is a really nice guy and easy to work with. If you want a particular thickness and width, just let him know. He can probably make it up for you. Damascus too.

+ 3 on Mike Turner. Great guy and makes some great stuff. Del does too so you can't go wrong with either.
