Gentlemen:
For your consideration is this hidden tang San Mai Utility in presentation grade, stabilized old growth Koa/1095. I forged this blade awhile back along with a few other blades. The solder joint is perfectly executed with no pinholes. The hidden tang extends 2/3 of the way into the handle and is set with Gflex marine grade epoxy and a stainless pin. The koa has a seven coat, hand rubbed Truoil high gloss finish to fill all the pores in the wood. The primaries are flat ground to .010" then sharpened making this a real slicer.
