I hope you're all doing well! I was out of the knife game for quite a while but I'm back now.
I was hoping I'd be the first to start a thread on this topic but it seems it has been discussed before.
Either way, it's worth bringing up again. Has there been any progress on the mystery behind the "transitional" Voyager? For those not viewing the link, the knife I am referring to is the Voyager in the 2010 Cold Steel catalog. It has the same overall design as the Voyager that we're all familiar with today, but it's different in a few ways from the Voyager in the 2011 and later catalogs. Despite having the same overall design as the new ones, the 2010 Voyager is pictured in the catalog with a pinned blade like the classic Voyagers that came before it (no disassembly). It is also advertised as being made from VG-1 San Mai III, which means it would have been made in Japan (not Taiwan like we're familiar with).
What else do you guys know about these?

Odd voyager
I recently acquired a Cold Steel Voyager from a friend who knows someone that works at Cold steel but I can't find any images that look like it when looking up it's specifications, I'm wondering why it is different than the others.
