I have several G-10 and Micarta handles that are a little "proud" and I would like to clean them up a little. And, then maybe buff/shine up some blades and tangs too.

What do I need? I already have a 1"x42" Kalamazoo Belt sander. Is there a felt or cotton belt, or anything similar, that I could use to clean up the handles? Or, should I just go ahead and get a dedicated grinding/buffing wheel specifically for those task?

Thanks in advance.

You can file them to near finished, then wet sand with 320, 400, 600 grit paper. Then, buff with 0000 steel wool.
There are felt belts available for your grinder. Use green compound.
