That looks awesome! I've always been afraid to sand multicolored g10 because the I never know if there will be enough of the lighter color left on top and if not, will I have enough material to get all the way thru the black to reach another layer of the light stuff again before I hit the tube fasteners, if that makes sense.
Good point! I didn't consider that when I started. Just checked I have different layers exposed in the troughs. Its pretty symmetrical otherwise. I think I got lucky because the tan and black layers are the same thickness. I've seen some G10 where the layers are different thicknesses. I added a pick below to illustrate.
