I have a good handsanding station for doing the blades prior to putting the knife together, but sometimes (quite often) i end up getting some scratches on the blades while putting it all together and have to go back over the blade. I have never found a good way to secure the knife and support the blade while re-finishing while it's together. Anyone have anything worth copying?

And i know the answer, to not scratch them in the 1st place, but i can't seem to do that no matter how much tape i put over the blades...ha

For fixed blades I use rubber lined truss clamps for the handle and have a block that fits under the blade to support it. If you could find some small truss clamps the same method should work for folders.

There is a youtube vid of Tony Bose doing that. (a longer visit to his workshop)
He puts sandpaper on the wheel he ground the blade on. Then he pulls the blade over that.
I've made a rubber covered micarta block with the same radius as my wheel and clamp it with sandpaper on it in a machine clamp and do it like that.
It works well.
If the scratches are deeper you can use EDM stones first and finish with paper.

That's what i was looking for! Easier to clamp the sandpaper than clamp the knife! Thanks!
