Sandpaper

Yep, auto parts store/website. Pretty much the only place you're likely to find high-grit sandpaper.
 
Anywhere they sell automotive paint, they should sell fine grit sandpaper. If they don't sell the paint, they might not have it. If they do sell paint, they most likely sell the sandpaper.
 
Stones are more expensive in the short term and honestly I get better results with paper. Paper is also adaptable to oddball things. I've even sharpened serrations with it.

And if you put the sandpaper on a flat substrate, you have the equivalent of a stone.
