This person "Sangkala" by forum name, email address: SamuelThompson141@yahoo.com , has been contacting me over the last 2 days, in answer to a "Wanted to Buy" ad I have up here, trying to sell me a fairly expensive custom knife, both times offering pictures of blades that actually reside elsewhere (one in Texas, one in China).

He would not answer as to where he bought the blade, or whose pictures they were (I later tracked that information down). He siad he would take PayPal initial;ly, but never offered a PayPal address.

At this point, I wouldn't trust this dude with a penny of my funds...for anything.

Anybody ELSE deal with this person...?

I've never dealt with him Will but I noticed his Email: mikelg AT gmail DOT com (from Profile)
is different than the one you have.
Everything else you posted leads me to believe something smells fishy.

WARNING - this guy is taking ads from "Wanted To Buy" and piecing together photos from other posts...then trying to sell them as blades he has - EBAY confirmed his Ebay address is a "phishing scheme"

Someone posing as Sangkala (forum name...goes by SamuelThompson@yahoo.com) is skimming "Wanted to Buy" ads, and answering them with fraudulent offers to sell what's being sought (including the use of other folks posted pictures)

Same username and email Doug mentioned for a guy at JD. Looks like he's had a few good sales in the past month. Only registered since 5/20.

What Will describes sounds just like the "Malaysian" scam drama we had here a few months ago. Might be some scammer using a legit member's info to try ripoffs.
