OT: The SRM 763 is OK. I've used it a lot, and it often makes it into my edc rotation (which these days consists of the Buck Vantage Pro, Spyderco Delica 4 FFG, Spydie lightweight Manix 2, SRM 763 and Victorinox cadet) because it's light and unobtrusive. Ideal for light edc.
Don't mind the thumbless guy though. He tends to have this tendency to bash SRM or Enlan in every topic that comes up in General about these brands, without ever giving any decent argument. It's always the same old 'everything from China bl*ws, only 'merica makes them good stuffz' with this guy. I'm pretty sure some Psychologists would love this guy though.
Anyway, if you want something low cost that performs well, there are tons of options out there. Different steels, different designs, different origins. Any single one of them might be good for you, it just comes down to personal preference. Is the SRM 763 a good knife FOR YOU? Maybe, the Tenacious might be as well, maybe the Kershaw Cryo, maybe an Opinel, maybe a SAK...
