Santa came late...

I am with Mike, I can't wait to play with the Fiddleback. I want one BIG time. I'm trying to save for one already. And I will sell some other stuff to get one!

Anyway, now that the drooling is over, I want to know more about the Shing and the SWC, such as: what type of steel? Edge retention? Grind? Specs? How do you get them? Thanks!

 Nice haul.

I love every MM knife I've seen and that one is just as cool. They're always so functional looking. Gonna have to pick one up some day.

Two tone desert ironwood, that's the Shing. Very solid blade.

Sort of thick :thumbdn:even in the blade, but the edge is very thin. I've cut a lot of stuff with it thinking it's going to chip or something but hasn't happened yet. Maybe just haven't met the right species of wood:eek:

Man I was doing some carving with the Mora 2000 last night and managed to get it to flake out on me. That thing doesn't even have a trued edge. Stropped for a while and got it back pretty well though.

But yeah, I was surprised at the shings cutting ability after seeing how thick it was.

That is a fantastic selection of blades. Thanks for sharing the photos and the reviews.
I hope I can find find some friends like yours.
