Got my first Fiddleback, a Hiking Buddy in the mail yesterday as well! Certainly appreciate the efforts to get everything shipped as busy as everyone is this time of year.

I did not get any myself, but I did get a fun little spyderco techno.

My daughter did say this was her best Christmas ever .. and I have to admit, that's what I was aiming for.

Yeah, the giving is fun, in hind sight I wish I had kept quiet about getting Lisa's Bushboot back, and waited to put it under the tree. I took close looks at various handle configs on Esquires the last few times down there, and am looking forward to a time of getting my daughter one of those. I think it will fit her hand for some time to come, and works out well since I have developed a major fondness for the Monarch

I like the look and size of the Techno, and I am seeing some good prices on them on line. I'm curious how that blade steel does.

Tod, Nice Techno! Great little beast of a knife.

Mist - I've had a couple CTS-XHP and the steel is top notch. I had a Spyderco Mule in that and used it pretty hard without issue. Good retention. Pretty easy to sharpen on the Sharpmaker.

Congrats to all the guys that received some sweet blades. And to those that are givers as well.

Mist - I've had a couple CTS-XHP and the steel is top notch. I had a Spyderco Mule in that and used it pretty hard without issue. Good retention. Pretty easy to sharpen on the Sharpmaker.

Thanks Thurin. I have been looking at getting something small and light weight for the evening walks to try to get my old self back in shape again, 14 months in flat country did me no good . The light weight wind proof work out clothes Lisa gave me for Christmas will get me fewer funnier looks here in this neighborhood than me wandering around in my cargos and knee high camo boots but they lack the pockets I am used to lol. I should have snagged the CPM154 skeletonized Karda years ago for a neck knife

I haven't made it to the PO yet today to see if my Fiddlebacks arrived, but IF they had made it here before Christmas I had intended to cook this meal with my Woodchuck . . .

Oh well . . . as long as it makes it here before the New Year, I'll cook with it then!

I hear that! My Woodchuck is festive too! It the Ruby burlap Woodchuck I purchased from Viral back in October. It was sent to the Forge and de-gaurded!! That Christmas meal was SO tasty I might just need to repeat it soon! Marinated pork loin with cherry compote = crazy happy flavors in your mouth!
