I hate saying it guys but I think this Santa Claus plays favorites....he failed to deliver the Bill Moran and Bob Loveless knives that I asked him for when I saw him at the mall. I thought this may have just been an honest mistake but I cannot find the dude as of this evening. I tried to call him and couldn't find a number that actually worked. Information was absolutely NO help. The lady laughed at me and hung up. Every site on the web I searched led to the same place; NOWHERE!

I don't know what to make of this. On the general discussion forum there seems to be quite a few guys who got knives from him. Go take a look....why didn't he leave me one? Was I really that bad this year? What about his quality control....I thought he checked his list at least twice? I thought we had a deal. If he was going to retrack the deal, he should have at least emailed me or post it on the forum but he didn't.

So unless there is such a thing as a New Year's present, I in all good faith cannot recommend this guy. Yeah, I know I will take some heat for this comment. Statements like, "my knife was mint!", "our deal went smooth", "he is such a great guy".....well gents, I call 'em as I see 'em. All he left me was some new underware and these gloves with some fingers missing.

This is my last deal with the fat guy. not very saintly of him that is for sure. Wait until I see him at the mall next year.

Merry Christmas from (touge-in-cheek) Kodiak Alaska!

Oops, guess I got your package?

I'll get it out in a few days Kodiak....
I'm sure it was just a simple mistake...

Other customers have complained of not receiving the knives they ordered from Mr. Claus and receiving lumps of coal instead. Most of the net dealers don't deal exclusively in knives, you know ... it might be that Mr. Claus also runs a net-based coal business and occasionally mixes up orders.

Or, if you haven't received a lump of coal, it might be that your order has been delayed in the mail ... that often happens at this time of year.

It's better to give a dealer a little time and see if your order (or a lump of coal) arrives soon ... if your order arrives in the next couple of days won't you be embarrassed about ranting in TGBU? Have some consideration ... a shipment from any dealer can be delayed in the mail, and just about everybody mixes up an order and sends the wrong thing at least occasionally.

Of course if it isn't set right soon you would be justified in posting a complaint -- but give Mr. Claus a fair chance first ... it might not be his fault.

Greg . . . word here in Tennessee is that Santa got tied up RECOUNTING requests from Florida and generally just ran out of time and never got back even to the INITIAL count in Alaska. So, you can blame it ALL on Al Gore; not Santa. And this is bound to be accurate because as we all know, Tennessee is Gore's home state even though our eleven electoral votes went to Bush.

And, Greg, you should NEVER give up on Santa . . . he's been treating the rest of us right for years, but this recount business just had him stymied for a while.

Well Jim, I guess I have been naughty. I have bought all those knives this year not telling the wife. I have told her all my G10 handle knives were the same and all those other knives were trades.... And then that day I made a pass at Mrs. Claus at the mall. How was I suppose to know that she was married to that old guy? She was carrying a SAK Tinker and that really got me hot and bothered......so maybe I didn't really deserve any knives under the tree. And now I feel like such a fool posting this while I was angry instead of thinking about it and cooling off.

I hope Santa isn't pi$$ed at me.

Kodiak,
I feel better now I thought I was the only one who got the axe from Santa. I was even strung along thinking that the whole time I would receive a new BM42. Guess what, Christmas has came and gone and no BM. Now I have to make up for Santa's error.
I was thinking two or three more knives would be my goal for my New Year resolution. No, I don't mean in the whole year, just what I plan to get in January. That will teach em.
Luckily I had made some preparation to hold me over just in case this happened. I recently bought a Lightfoot Neck Razor and his 7" Predator. I also did a recent deal with Jim O'Young, great guy to deal with in my book. I think these knives should hold me over for awhile.
On a happy note I would like to thank all of you who have given me those great transactions I have had on BFC, I think from now on I will be sending my wish list out to all of you.
Happy Holiday's

Greg - be glad the underwear is clean, and are you sure those gloves you have weren't previously owned by someone with the initials of O.J.S.?

Next time Greg, I strongly urge you to use the GB&U forum only as a last resort...only after you have tried to rectify this situation with the other party.

Santa did well for me this year. I got a delica in a neck rig, a leatherman crunch, a buck nighthawk...
