This is my Santa fe fighter model. It is 8 3/4" forged L-6 blade, distal tapered to the tip. The handle is Bolivian curly macaranduba wood, and measures 5 1/4" giving teh knife an overall length of 14". The guard is forged mild steel with the coolest little scrolls on each end. They give the guard a nice dimensional quality. The ferrule is also mild steel and both are heat colored.

The knife has great balance and feels very light and quick. The handle provides a fencers frip, which I like on a knife like this.

Let me know what you think, and feel free to e-mail me for more details. bailey@bradshawcutlery.com

Brett,

The heat blueing is not extrememly durable. It is similar to case coloring on shotguns. The gun makers varnish the frames to protect the colors. I use a hardening wax. It works well, and it is easy to apply.

That's a very elegant blade - I love the elongated and scrolled S-guard. Very classy.

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks, Bailey. Once more, great looking knife! Makes me want to fire up the forge and get working! Thanks for sharing. Brett
