I want to post my recent experience with a great company that goes the distance, and then some.
It all goes back to last spring ('07) when I came home for lunch only to find my front door had been kicked in. The POS that did it saw me coming and ran off before I could shoot him (legal in TX). I was truly lucky that nothing was taken, just piled up and ready to go out the door. As I inspected the damage and the mess I noticed the asshat had dumped my knives and watches into a pile on the floor. One of the knives in the pile is one of the inlayed, malachite and jet, 3" lockback models sold by Santa Fe Stoneworks. It must have hit one of the other knives just right in the fall to chip it about 3/4" along the edge of the jet material.
I was going through my stuff a few nights ago and realized I had never done anything about my chipped knife. I contacted S.F.S. via their website and told them my situation. I recieved the reply the next day to send them my knife and they would restore it to its former beauty FOR FREE! I almost fell over. I was just hoping it could be fixed, not expecting the "F" word. I know that they don't manufacture knives, but they make beautiful handles and scales for a dressy look. They've "handled" Camillus, Western, Buck and Spyderco knives (among others) that are all quite beautiful.
I really admire a company that is willing to go that far for its customers. They know that I will be back, how could I not? Please take a look at them if you are wanting something a little "upscale" or semi-custom.
Santa Fe Stoneworks is a good bunch of folks and I highly recommend them.

And thanks Cougar, just cuz'.

Here's a follow-up to my original post. Santa Fe Stoneworks is a stand up company. They fixed a knife that was chipped by an intruder in my home, not based on workmanship or product flaws. They charged me $0 for any of the work or for shipping it back and the knife is just like it was when my wife gave it to me. They've made a customer for life out of me and I recommend that anyone reading this at least take a look at their stuff. It's some very beautiful work and built on various high quality knives as the starting point, it's useable art.
Please visit http://www.santafestoneworks.com because they stand behind their products and their customers.

I really like their products. I have a few Camillus money clips that
were inlaid by them. :thumbup::thumbup:
