Steel: AEB-L stainless cryogenically treated. The blade is hand sanded to 400 grit. The edges to 800.

Hardness: 62.5 Rc

Blade length: 6"

Total length: 10-3/4"

Blade thickness: about 1/8" The edge was .010" before sharpening.

Handle material: maroon linen micarta

Fittings: stainless bolts

Beautiful knife. No maker's mark?

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that. I heat treated this knife before grinding, so wasn't able to use my stamp. I haven't worked the bugs out of my logo etcher yet, so this knife has no logo. I hope this doesn't matter too much. Maybe I'll do some more experimenting with the etcher today...

I just received the knife. It is every bit as nice as pictured, feels very good in the hand, and it is just the right size for cutting up vegetables. Thanks, Phillip, for a great knife. This one is going straight into our kitchen knife block and I anticipated that it will get regular use.
