OK, first time i got ripped off on ebay!
Bought this CS trailhawk from santoscutlery on Ebay. Feedback was very high. Then it turned out he had 54 negative reps in the last month

I emailed the guy about 10 times, no answer. I send him a Paypal invoice to refund me 3 times, called him, no answer.

NOTHING, NADA.

So anyone beeing attracted to one of his rare knives he posts he has in stock, this guy is a FRAUD!

First time i got ripped off and the amount was low, but this guy needs to stop selling stuff and start filling orders.

His email is ebay@santoscutlery.com

Thanks Esav, looks like my suspicion with this guy was right. He changed to BidPay. I contacted Bidpay but they told me that they only act as a middleman, they don't have a customer insurance like PayPal.

I guess the fact that he doesn't use PayPal anymore is an indication that he has been burned.

I contacted my CC company and filed a fraudulent complaint. I hope they will refund me.

It's just 35$ (luckely) but this guy has these on auction http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/MOD-CQD-Set...07168QQcategoryZ43335QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem.

If he would scam me out of 1000 $ i would pay him a personal visit!

I posted in the above thread "I got ripped off". While he did not rip me off, his service was the worst I have ever seen. It took him forever to refund my money. Hopefully you will get your money back. Good Luck.

He just gave me a bad rep! i gave him a neutral one, and the little bastard thought it was neccessary to give me a bad rep! Can you believe that guy?
He doesn't answers my mails, doesn't refund me, doesn't ships my hawk but does give me a negative rep after ripping me off! I know there are scammers out there, but i was always under the impression that they had a little honour, guess not!

ah, no worries, i will start a federal investigation on this guy for fraud...
Looks like he scammed the wrong guy. :)

Why does eBay let crap like that continue. A continuously running 1-2% (or more) negative feedback ought to raise a flag.

Why neutral? He deserves a negative. Did you reply to his negative that you never received the goods or a refund?

Well yes, i also adviced him to google my name, and rethink his actions. He did and mailed me that the parcel is on it's way. Let's see what happens.

thanks Mongo, i was attracted from some items of this scumbag. fortunately i've read your post.

On ebay I don't deal with anyone less than 98%. It's because most people are soooo worried about getting a negative retaliatory feedback, they don't post negatives on people that deserve it. So if someone has alot of feedback and is less than 98% I avoid them like the plague. If they choose not to exhibit their feedback like Santos it is huge red flag flapping in the wind.

I take the time to read what the folks have to say. I don't follow the percentages that strictly. Sometimes, a seller, especially those that sell A LOT of item, will over list items and folks will give them neg. feedback, even though they didn't actually get ripped off.

I just got a mail from Ebay that they closed down his account. They asked me not to pay for the item ( wich i already did , but i contacted my CC company and they paid it back)
This guy has been shut down by Ebay. I just hope he doens't pop up back under a false name.

Stay Alert

Chances are good that they'll un-suspend the account after a while. That is (or was) standard policy for Ebay. I can think of a couple of blatant scammers that were suspended and Ebay let them back on multiple times.

I think that ebay should make it so that the seller has to be the first to leave feedback, that way sellers with poor service cant hang the retaliatory neg feedback thing over the buyers head.

It would be perfectly fair, because the buyer has to keep his side of the deal first.

Retaliatory feedback does suck. However;I've seen some pretty blatant wrongful feedback left for the seller by the buyer.Sometimes just the threat of retaliatory feedback also keeps some of the jerk buyers in-line also.If a person seller or buyer has a history of leaving retaliatory feedback then ebay should intervene.I'm a seller and buyer, and normally I will not leave feedback until the buyer does due to all the buyer scammers out there. The buyer is the one that has the final say as to when the transaction is complete and he is satisfied since the seller is waiting on his response to receiving the product imho.
