Sar-3 Leather

Is this thread about sheaths or knives?

Stinky! You got some 'splainin to do!!!!! :grumpy:

;)

Those look nice.

I must say though, it looks as if there is about an inch of unused sheath space in the tip?

Er, whut? Please 'spain for those of us in the cornfused state?

I can see it's about leather... But the blade used in the sheath made for some blade discussion... That's all ;-)

Oh yea! No doubt. That black paper is sweet! If only...... :o

Dwayne, I think what tripton is saying is ....

THe pic is blown up a little, but if I take and hold my sar 3 upto the computer screen, even though the proportions are a little off...it appears as if it would leave about an inch left of space to fill the sheath. I am sure its an illusion:thumbup:

It could also be due to Skunker not fully inserting the knife too?????

just guessing cause I dont know.

I think You've got that one right,,,Skunker is teasing us now :D,,,its definitely not inserted all way compared to these other pix,,,,guess that explains the taped up handle now too :thumbup:

"insert proper razz, wrong answer sound here" Sorry sumnrfam, the handle on the one I have was taped for a sheathmaking project, the handles are sharply carved and mark up the face of leather if I dont tape it first. I dont like to send marked up sheaths to my customers. They can mark em up all they want, but I try not to do it for them.

I started doing that with the AD's, and the SFNO machined scales are the worst about marking.

But that dont mean that I aint going to try my best to get a hold of one in black paper, but I dont get my knives before anyone else does, it doesnt work that way, never has. I wish I could though, it would make it so much easier to get sheaths out to people in a decent time frame instead of after the initial offering.

Be careful with those insinuations, it could get people in trouble, things are run a certain way. I can stand to lose a lot. :(
