Sar 3..

You need one for the kitchen, one for the bedroom, one for outside, one for the garage, one for your trousers, one for the office and two for keeping nice and safe. So that actually makes it 8. :D:D

Not everyone has your budget man. :D

I will have to make do with just one. :)

As someone who keeps struggling to get in on the action, I must agree with the first post. The release of a limited number of blades at a time from an in demand maker is guaranteed to be a sell out no matter how many blades one person is allowed to buy. All this buying multiple blades on the first release does is make the ones who didn't have a chance in hell of geting one feel slighted. Now our only choice is to wait for the ones who did buy 3 or 4 to jack up the price and offer it to the masses...While this may be FUN and proffitable for some, I believe there are just as many if not more who are turned off to the makers product by such practices. At least the lottery systems are fair.

Relax! As you can see I've been around for a little bit and I'm here to tell you this isn't a limited run, there will be more of these so at some point and you should be able to obtain one just maybe in a different color. Also don't feel slighted, part of Busse's marketing has always been different and limited runs in small batches although recently there's been a lot of hype behind them.

Just take a deep breath. I did not score.......not because I could not have, but because I just moved into a new house, new furniture, new LED tv, and PS3, new couch, new fridge, stove, microwave, blinds, etc, etc, etc, etc, not to mention the Massive student loans, and getting the office set up.

I tell you, It kills me to spend 700 on a printer, when I could have bought 2 Sar3's.

I try not to get too worked up about anything.

If you wanted to see hostility, and crying (from both old and new hogs, and complete newbs), you should have been around when the Boss gave away 15,000 in free infi........That's right, gave away, all you had to do was be fastest............

Best ganza ever, even the Boss Hog him self got trampled!!!!!!!!

Don't worry again. Just keep an eye on the bussecomany.com and bussecombat.com and you will score what you want.

As to people who buy 27 of them.........well, that is the nature of the beast.

Yes, absolutely there are people who are buying to flip.....you can find them selling on Ebay at 4 times the original price (when the knife has been off sale for 2.3 minutes.........).

Just keep an eye on the exchange here for good deals, and you can usually pick up exactly the model you want with almost no mark up. The older the model gets, the pricier..................that is why you have to lurk on the exchange.

Or post a WTB with exactly what you want, and the price you are willing to pay. You may get lucky (still waiting on a response to my WTB on the Moab for $300.......final offer here guys!!!!!).

Who says it has to be fair? It is what it is. Did you read the quote from Jerry? This is his house; if you don't like the house rules, don't play the game.

Actually, the way the knives are sold is fair. Everyone has the same chance to get a knife. The hogs that buy a bunch at at one time have to hit the order button and wait just like everyone else. I should know. I only wanted one SAR 3 and I feverishly hit F5 on the order page when Skunk told us to. With all the guys putting 27 Busses in their cart I still got my one. If the Hogs got special privilages or information to which the rest of us schlubs weren't privy then I would agree with you that the selling format was unfair. But they aren't geiven special privilages, they're just extra greedy. :D

What's not fair about the current system??? The 'playing field' is even, the 'starting line' is straight. No one person has any real advantage over another. We all received public notice of the exact date & the time within a few minutes that the SAR3 would be offered, and this notice was posted days in advance. Everyone who paid attention and took the time to read idahoskunk's posted thread knew when & where to find them, and images of what we would be offered. I had no problems getting in and buying what I wanted with a 5+ year old fairly outdated computer. Also, after the initial offering last night, Scott reset the Store to cause all SAR3's that were sitting in carts without being checked out in a reasonable amount of time to be funneled back into the "available stock" twice, and reset the cart limits to ONE per order on these last 2 resets. It doesn't get much fairer than that.

Sar-3 Debut, Tomorrow Night, Tuesday the 4th, Very Close To 9:30pm Eastern Time. More pics and info to come later.

This is a VERY COOL blade, one you won't want to miss.

Specs will be posted later.

Personally, I'm against the lottery system as I would rather rely on my efforts & perseverance to score Busse knives than to just sit around waiting and hoping that I get lucky enough to have my number called. Yes, there is fevered competition and yes, it's a HOG eat HOG world...but with some planning, patience & effort, it is not that difficult to get what you want from the Store.

I'll end with this quote...

We eat our own. Haven't I taught you guys ANYTHING??? ~ Jerry Busse, BLADE'07
