SAR-4 SPCL SATIN WITH BLACK G-10 at Co. Store

I would think so. I ordered one of each so that I wont regret not buying one or the other :).

I recieved my shipping confirmation for one of the knives today, but im not sure which SAR4 it is yet...;)

Thats not what it says on the add at the BCS. It says full height convex grind right on the sales add.

SAR-4 SPECIAL EDITION !

We pushed the blade length on this model as far as we could in order to keep it in the 4" blade length designation. The blade is 4 7/8" long. We went with a full-height convex grind and a thickness of .220 in order to give it great cutting geometry and strength for it's anticipated mission. Over all length is 10 3/4".

Thats the same exact discription used for the LE.
I think Jerry's post is correct, and Skunk is using the same description because he was to drunk to change it:p

Skunk???

the only diff is the way jerry sharpened it. ok i'll change the fricking description that jerry wrote, OK?

Funny, you say that like it doesnt matter... a little late for people who bought and thought they were getting the full convex edge.

Mr. Skunk loves returns.

He gets to sell them immediately after they come in the door!!!!

, OK?

fixed it for ya.

:p:p
I'm just joking around, makes no differance to me at all. Both will be great, and the convex edge only does save some $:thumbup:

edit- I was typing, and didn't see the 13th post. Or I would not have made this one. I don't take anything to serious, and was kidding around.

I guess to most people it won't matter ;)
It's not like we get a knife and go "ooooohhh carp (<- family forum intentional misspelling), it's only the edge that is convex, gun darn it".

I know it wouldn't matter to me. Heck I didn't even know the company store had descriptions, my bookmark takes me directly to the listings of available knives.

Like MORIMOTOM just said, if you're not happy, Vicki(e?) and Skunk will do their best to help you.

The Special edition SAR 4 with Black G-10 handles is exactly what it says it is. It is "a full-height convex grind with a thickness of .220" The grind refers to the primary bevel. The only difference between the 2 models is that the convex edge on the Special Edition is NOT blended into the Full height convex grind!

Both models have full height convex grinds and both have convex edges!!!!!!

Hope that clarifies it for everyone. . . .

These SAR 4s are killer cool ! ! !:eek::thumbup:

Jerry :D

You're right. Try emailing the Store. You can probably cancel the order if it hasn't shipped yet, or decide if it's a keeper after you receive it. Hope you get to enjoy your knife, 'cause that's what it's all about here.
