SAR-4 SPCL SATIN WITH BLACK G-10 at Co. Store

The Special edition SAR 4 with Black G-10 handles is exactly what it says it is. It is "a full-height convex grind with a thickness of .220" The grind refers to the primary bevel. The only difference between the 2 models is that the convex edge on the Special Edition is NOT blended into the Full height convex grind!

Both models have full height convex grinds and both have convex edges!!!!!!

Hope that clarifies it for everyone. . . .

These SAR 4s are killer cool ! ! !:eek::thumbup:

Jerry :D

Thanks!! its better than the LE! Hell no on returning this baby, this is the nicest Busse I`ve seen in a long time!

:)

Well, cool!! Then it will have a 10 degree inclusive edge (5 per side), yet it will never roll or dent or ripple or get dull no matter what I pry, stab or slice it through! Lemme know when get ready for my magical Green Linen SAR4... Or just tell me to wake the heck up. ;) :D

lolz!

Well I ordered both, and if nothing else I'm glad the LE will have some snob appeal, since it cost $70 more. ;)

Here, let me practice my LE snobbery:

"The SE? Oh yes, that's a fine knife. Of course it doesn't have a BLENDED full height convex grind like the LE, but still a first rate knife. Too bad about that unblended grind of course, but it was so nice of Jerry to provide something for those who couldn't afford the LE."

Your LE snobbery scores about a 9.4. . . Very nice!

It states the obvious, that you and all others who own SAR 4 LEs are superior, and then crushes the spirits of those who long to be like you. :D

YOWZA!!!. . .I just realized that I don't own an LE!!!. . . . I must now drink to your greatness while lamenting my lower station not only in life, but more importantly at the Trough of INFI!!!! :o

Let's Drink!!!!!

Yeah but you have a mystical green linen sitting on your desk beside the SAR4 Snakeskin 1off.:foot:

You can make the LE snobs try and feel better but the SE is the better looking blade with a convex edge :)

SE is dead sexy and we saved enough to get a free sheath and shipping. :D

On first edge touch up with my poor sharpening skills, if I owned an LE, the edge would lose it's zero grind and become a dull convex edge with no blending:confused::confused::confused:

Good point.

How do we go about sharpening those different kinds of knifes without screwing-up the initial edge?:confused:

We need some good tutorial on how to do seamless convex vs. normal convex.:)
