Sar-6 LE, Tomorrow Tuesday The 7th Around 9pm Eastern.

It was tempting.... they were in stock when I checked but I got a HHFSH, and a CABS in my near future........ then there is Christmas in a few weeks :) It's for the better anyway she is gonna be a user so I'll just hold out for a double cut and black canvas SE to go with my SAR3.

Just too much for me :grumpy: - even for a Christmas present, says the boss  :o ;)! I'll be waiting for the SE's as well.

I know people love the limited numbered blades, but I honestly think the handle options with satin blades that typically follow for less money are much nicer. The tiger micarta is too plain IMO. Even black paper looks better.

...ya never know what will follow...that's what makes me cringe...:foot:;)

Nah, its that mentality Busse counts on to get people to buy the very first offering. (Which is fine if you're not picky) I've seen the same exact handle options offered for every SAR from the 3 on up to the 8 (for the most part). Tiger Mic, Pumpkin G10, Black/Tan G10, Black Paper... Maybe a Tan Mic, Red/Black G10. I bought into the fear of the unknown with the SAR3 and got a red/black which I didn't really want, and sure enough all the other colors followed. Same thing with the SAR8. I'd almost be willing to bet the next SE will be pumpkin, followed by Blk/Tan G10. How else will people complete their "SAR Sets"?

There's bound to be at least one option for every taste out there.

I've been buying knives for a little over a year now. EVERY TIME I look at another brand knife, EVERY SINGLE TIME, Busse goes and does something like this. First it was DSSFs, then Nuclear DSFs now this...

I'd be curious to know the blade length ahead of the choil...also whether it is convexed or not.

Prolly around 5.25" from the choil to the tip and IIRC, all the other SAR LE's were convexed... This one looks like it is too. (don't hold me to it, though! ;))

The linen tigerhide is beautiful on the SAR 8 and SAR6. The only thing that I think would look better is machined snakeskin or old school green linen and that's never going to happen.

$497?

Wow.

Extra happy I'm satisfied with my similarly sized and shaped BOSS Jack, for barely more than half the price.
