I have beat the crap out of this one. The DC coating is awesome in my opinion. BTW, why would you ever want to "restore" a well worn in DC blade:confused:

In my experiences with knives and stainless 1911s - DC, or most anything beadblasted for that matter, is very wear resistant and easy/cheap to fix.

I've had one of my 1911s re-blasted a few times, and several months ago I had my ASH1 re-beadblasted with a 48hr turnaround for a whopping $20 by a local shop...
 
I've beat on my DC ASH1, but you would never know to look at it. Granted I have not, and have no desire to, hack through rocks and chains, but it has chopped a ton of wood, been used in the kitchen, cleaned fish, etc. Besides some occasional staining which can be scrubbed off, it looks pristine.

:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: That would look great with my dc sar4, but unfortunately I can't afford it right now.
