SAR No Dice!

Face it... In the last 6 months, since Jerry opened the floodgates, there are now at my best guess, approximately 3-4 ITHOGS for every one of those of us who shook the man's hand. We're outnumbered!!:eek: How can they be HOGS... If they're multiplying like RATS??? ;) :D:D:D LOL

Too funny!

I was hoping so! I just wanted to hear you guys say it... :p

(For the record, I didn't even try for a SAR!)

Hey guys... Think of yourselves as pioneers. You Hogs saw the light much earlier than the rest of us, but in a strange way, are responsible for 'all of us'. No doubt, there are many, many more Hogs at the trough now, but you should look upon this as a source of pride. UBERHOGS like yourself can be proud that you have spread the word about a uber-quality product. If it wasn't for UBERHOGS like BRAVADO, the rest of us would still be stuck looking for Carbon V Cold Steel on feebay!

Have pride in what you have done. Quality will always succeed, and you HOGS have helped greatly to spread the word to piglets such as myself.

Now... Since it is primarily your fault that I am addicted to INFI... Kindly make some space at the trough! NO REGRETS!!! ;):D:thumbup:

Bravado,
Feel free to refer to net-HOGs by any label you choose. I refer to myself as a NET-HOG to distinguish myself from those who have made the INFI haj to a Busse attended show and that have been formally inducted by the HOGfather Jerry himself in an ofeeeshul ceremony. While I'm at it, fear not. While we net-HOGs may blister you old-timers at the virtual trough, you no doubt have most of us beat at the physical one, you know, the Busse Combat table at the shows. BTW, slightly confused by your choice of reference. IT generally refers to Information Technology, a rather broad subject. Net (or 'net) refers specifically to the Internet, the place you and a few others recently got smoked. IMHO, net-HOG is more accurate and directly to the point. Pete

Okay, but you'll be the only one. ITHOG is just cooler. :p :p

There's a lot of bitterness in this thread.

Durn right there is. Some folks didn't get a SAR5. :D

I thought Jerry said:

There is NO LIMIT on how many you can buy . . . I just want them gone, because once they're gone. . . they're gone for good!!

So how is it there are not enough to go around?

HEY Good point I forgot about that verbage that he used! WTF! :D

Well, while I have not shaken the Mans hand, I have spoken to the Janitor on the phone a couple of times.... That counts for something right??;);)

Cyber-HOGS Unite!!!

And I think I am on at least ONE of Amys lists (preferably the non stalker one) :D

I spoke to the lovely Amy-0 earlier today (where is the halo-wearing smilie?) and she told me that she had never seen a Ganza like this before as far as the volume of orders. I commented that it was probably an EASY Ganza to sort through since there was only 1 blade style; I cannot even begin to imagine what a Ganza with 80-some blades available must be like!

A brand new design +9" OAL Busse at GW prices...I am not surprised!!
/QUOTE]

From the description this is one of the best designed Busses I have seen for general use/survival/bushcraft. My hope is that the company would look at this response, re-consider the statement that this was a mistake/one time offering and put this puppy into a long production run.

If only it were that easy.

I've made the haj. And yet I must be a Net-HOG, since I am habitually one of the first few to strike during a Ganzaa.:eek::confused:

It's all too confusing for a man of my years. :(

Guyon : No problem being the only one to refer to himself as a net-HOG. The only one I need please is myself and if anyone else is as well, that is a happy coincidence.
Old Physics : No one, myself included, believes that old Hogs can't be as swift at the virtual trough (Ganzas) as they are at the shows. However, I suggest that most of us net-HOGs have ONLY the net with which to score and thus must be swift or left empty handed. Most of you old guard HOGs have both the shows and the net in which to score and most of you probably show a greater facility with one or the other, the rare HOG being outstanding at both. Back to the subject of this thread.
I suspect that GRUMPY, errrr... sorry, I mean Bravado, and a few of the others just had an off night, as we all do on occasion. Bad night to have one on as it seems that Jerry was serious that the NW SAR 5 (based on the design of Sarsquatch #2) truly was an error that he wanted out of his shop ASAP. 'I don't care if one guy buys them all. Just get them the BLANK out of here !" However, if what I recall reading is true, I hope that Jerry and the Busse crew make every effort to ensure that the HOGs and net-HOGs that actually DO participate in SEARCH AND RESCUE operations and do prefer this design get the opportunity to score at least one. Seems only fair but that's just MHO. Pete / PIGmsayre

I'm still confused, I have not received any positive or negative emails from Amy yet.

Does this mean I still have a chance?

There will be a 4" model available from the Company store in the future. It is supposed to have a slightly wider blade from the spine to the cutting edge, which would be welcome. My SAR5 worries me a bit, I prefer my standard Busse guard design. I will be looking at the 4" ones when they come out.
