So far I have located a website for the Santa Clarita area. It states that civilian positions are very difficult to find. Another option is to become a deputy. But I am a science teacher and happy with what I do. I am looking to volunteer my time to help out. Aren't there SAR teams or similar that utilize civilians to a greater extent? Thanks.
