SAR8 LE vs NMSFNO LE

I tend to agree with LK on the balance aspect....they both are very nicely balanced IMO...the main thing for me is that the SFNO grips lack the downward swoop at the rear which you get on the Fusion BM's/SH's and the SAR 8...it is a small point...but if you make a "hard" impact or your grip gets numb through repeat strikes...the rear downward swoop serves to "catch" the knife if your grip fails and it slips through your hand....this to me is more significant than the "balance" aspect...they both feel good and lively to me.

Nice knives and nice pics!

The first time I took a pic of a satin Busse inside I was  Outside is pretty easy though. Even a lot of point and shoots can control the metering. If you can set it to spot or center weighted and meter/expose for the blade that will help.

The best I can get is either on a tripod with no flash which I am usually to lazy to set up or bounce the flash off the ceiling. I think Lunde is the master of "studio lighting" for these knives (again I am too lazy:o). Bounce flash gives me this kind of result with Matrix metering (and once again too lazy to even change that):

You guys are such enablers! All of the SAR8 talk, especially related to the NMSFNO which is one of my all time favorite knives, destroyed my willpower and I just picked one up off of the Exchange. Mmmmmm Infi!

You will love it. It's an instant classic!

Plus you got it for a great price.

Yes, I have both NMSFNO and SAR8. SAR8 handle is much better and SAR8 feels much more balanced. Maybe it's just me though, there could be difference in perception... Then again, Jerry said it was one of the fastest blades he handled, and he sure touched more blades that I ever will :)

I absolutely love my Satin Battle Rat and the SAR8 looks like it has a similar blade height and overall length. Time will tell. :D :D :D
