Sardinian thankfulness reloaded :-) winner announced on post #52

Very cool.

This is something big in my area:

It's pronounced Crawfish. Mudbugs is an acceptable alternate. :D

This is what you do with them:

And some knife content.

We likes em down here.

Not an entry (seeing as the GAW is over), but this photo makes me want to return to Louisiana someday again. If anything, just for the food! Incidentally, our friend from Louisiana was here the other night, and she brought over a batch of cocktails that is her grandma's recipe for a drink she calls, "The Taste Of Louisiana" (lemonade and orange juice concentrate, real lemon juice, and vodka). Thanks for Sharing this Woodrow!

I've had a few days to tool around with this wonderful guy in my pocket and thought I would share my impressions. First, as a great lover of Opinels I would highly recommend the resolza to anyone who appreciates the finer qualities of the French friction folders (I think there are more people familiar with those.) I have taken some pics as I use it.

Polenta!

The fitting at the bolster is really exquisite. The overall finish is so nice even though most people envision this as a rustic working pattern (obviously depends on the maker.)

Very similar to an Opinel 8 slim--but with a better blade ratio. Similar blade stock and ridiculously awesome distal taper. 420HC as opposed to 12C27, both solid performers.

Cut some aloe for a burn. You can see the clean grind and subtle swedge. Also ludicrously SHARP,

Bigger than Carl's pattadesa, but more manageable for my purposes (right under 4" closed.)

With its bigger Italian brother ;)

Basically I am very very pleased and highly recommend these wonderful knives to anyone even remotely tempted. It rides in a sheath next to my Conductor and they complement each other well. Thanks again Fausto

Great-looking knife and great pics Steve
