I finally found some time to finish up SARDUCCI. I like how it turned out, the handle came out very comfortable (it is black linen Micarta). I gave the new butt the nuclear meltdown (ballbearing) rounded treatment, so it flows all around. Part of the thumb serrations are now covered on the side, but they still function on the top without bothering your thumb. The balance of the knife moved about .400" towards the tip, so it is not as handle heavy as it was. I got a nice Leatherman sheath from the BCS for it. I will try to bring this knife and a few others to Blade for people to handle.

That looks great, you did a really nice job modding that SAR. Way to go man.

Gr8 work ducci .......... I kinda like the big handle,,,,,but yours came out real nice !!!!:thumbup:

Looks like you finally got that Photochop down pat!

It looks really good, Bro. More of your slick handwork to be jealous of. "Ya done good"

Looking good Ducci

Looks good. The slightly thinner belly suits it and covering up the back thong hole gives it a cleaner look

Edit to add: A tapered tang would really finish it off

Nice work! what did you use to fill in the rear talon hole?... :D

Thanks for the complements. The rear talon/thong hole was not filled or covered up, the butt was ground to remove the hole, it used to be where the inside radius of the cutout is, if that makse sense.

Ahhhh yes
I thought perhaps it was a mixture of JB weld and INFI dust!:D

PS- for future reference- whenever I end my sentence with a :D. You can take it as my failed attempt at humor.

Very nice looking knife you did there.....

In comparison to the original SAR4 (and this is in NO WAY a knock on your knife at all) I think some of the 'stout' personality was lost from the SAR4 which was a big factor in it's appeal to me personally. I get a much more vintage impression from the SARDucci that takes me to memories of the original Badger and others from that time period.

Looking at the pics, did you bring the tip down on the SARDucci? Looks to be a bit more of a drop point than the SAR4.

For those original Badger fans, I imagine they will be drooling over the SARDucci's homage to the vintage styling.
